Tus Lake

The uniqueness of the lake is in its concentrated salty water. As old residents say, in the middle of 20th century salt-mine factory worked here. Also there are microorganisms that made the water health-giving in the lake. They look like Black Sea brine because of the same reddish color and original shape, but their size is slightly bigger. It has been known that tourists and vacationers from all the parts of USSR used to go to Odessa to take "Rapa" bath. And it turned out that such a treasure was so close to Siberian people.

In the past only inhabitants of nearest villages were swimming there. But as soon as this lake became known outside Shira region, number of visitors began to increase. Those who have been to the lake say that if you lay on a back in water you can totally relax. The water is so salty that it would not let you go down fully. Water holds you and the face is always above-water. Close your eyes and even your ears won’t perceive faint sound of the water.
